Haku is the lead of a herd in the forest that teaches the skills to become a great fighter. Also they are commissioned by other herds for fighters to help in times of war and or attacks from other herds. Most of them are dark coloured so that they can move freely at night without being seen. Since he had taken over the herd he has been mate less and doesn't feel the need for one as it would only become a hindrance if their enemies targeted her as a tactic. But one summer a herd came requesting the help of the warriors and couldn't pay the commission of items and offered their top female as a bride to Haku. He accepted the request to help them but would rather take no payment than a bride. Thinking that they agreed on the terms, it was a shock to Haku that a mare still came claiming she was his bride. An even big shock was that she was as bright as a full moon, an easy target to anyone.  He ignored her for the longest time and left on missions more than he normally would. While usagi was beyond in love with him, he didn't feel the same and thought of her as a nuisance. One day he lost his temper and unloaded on the petite mare and she left. For the next year he couldn't forgive himself for letting her go but at the same time felt like he got what was coming to him. He constantly sent his trackers to find her and bring her back but was worried she didn't want to come back. He put his anxieties into his work and a year after she left he was to finally settle things with Kaine but what he saw at his side made Haku lose all his morals and battle practices as he ran to her...
